Będąc w Grecji i korzystając z chwili wolnego czasu przed odlotem do domu, odwiedziliśmy Hellenic Air Force Museum.
Samo muzeum mieści się w czynnej bazie Tatoi Air Base. Jest otwarte dla zwiedzających w sobotę i niedzielę w godzinach 10-16.
Muzeum jest zamknięte w święta narodowe dlatego też zalecamy sprzwdzenie oficjalnej strony muzeum przed odwiedzeniem.
Eksponaty znajdują się zarowno w hangarze jak i na placu przed nim. Można tu zobaczyć prawie wszystkie typy samolotów na których latali Grecy.
Znajdziecie tu też artefakty związane z II wojną światową. Personel bazy udostępnił dostęp do symulatora F-16 z czego z radością skorzystaliśmy.
Mamy nadzieję że następnym razem będziemy mogli spędzić tutaj więcej czasu.

While in Greece, taking advantage of some free time before our flight back home, we visited the Hellenic Air Force Museum.
The museum itself is located within the active Tatoi Air Base. It is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Since the museum is closed on national holidays, we recommend checking its official website before planning a visit.
The exhibits are displayed both inside the hangar and on the tarmac in front of it. You can see almost every type of aircraft ever flown by the Greeks here. You will also find various artifacts related to World War II. The base personnel even granted us access to an F-16 simulator, which we were more than happy to try out!
We hope to be able to spend more time here on our next visit.
